Ending Radio Silence
Wednesday, March 2nd, 2005So, Michael went to Washington D.C. over the weekend with the Utah Men’s Choir, which meant I got to become re-aquainted with the art design and page layout process of the paper. It’s over now. Finally.
Great news! My minister, Rev. Sean Parker-Dennison, told me this weekend that he has been secretly working on his very own blog. I think this is fantastic because not only is Sean a friend, but an amazing philosopher on subjects like spirituality, social justice, politics and more. Anyway, I created an LJ feed (*-*-*revseandennison”>) for anyone who’s interested. Also, my paper recently did a profile piece on Sean if you’d like a bit more background about this amazing guy.
Went to see a University of Utah Babcock Theatre prouction of Angels in America: Part 1 yesterday. It wasn’t the best performance I’ve seen. They had a great handle on the comedy of the show, but the poignant and dramatic scenes fell flat. Still, the work itself is so powerful, it’s hard not appreciate any production (especially in Utah), even if done by students or amatuers.
I’m writing several new policies for The GLBT Community Center after my first official business meeting on Monday. I insisted on amending almost every motion and policy presented to the board of directors because of problems like inconsistent language and lack of clarity. I’ve already established myself as the pain-in-the-ass-who-keeps-bringing-up-proper-Parliamentary-Procedure. Which, of course, deserves…

Anywho, it’s time for our post-production-beer-time ritual, so I’ll catch up more tomorrow.
