R.I.P.

Jedda Keys

Pet, Companion, Guardian

1993-2005

I looked everywhere for a picture of Jedda, but I couldn’t find a good one in my files at the office. Jedda was a mixed breed who came to us along with her brother Jonah (also departed) as a puppy. She has guarded us from unwanted visitors at three successive homes, always been tolerant of the grabbing hands of small children, and loved nothing better than cuddling with any warm body who would join her on her throne (the bean bag chair).

Jedda has been limping a lot through the hard, cold winter and just as we began to see signs of spring (and hopefully a respite for the arthritis in Jedda’s legs), she took a turn for the worse over the last 48 hours. She went to sleep yesterday evening and never woke up. Jedda is survived by her best friend, Johnny the poodle, and a large and growing family who will miss her.
