Wednesday, March 23rd, 2005First off, thank to everyone for hugs and comments about Jedda. The house seems quieter today without her around – but not much quieter since Alexia is still in town this week and she and Craig get rather noisy.
We finally got the viruses cleaned off the computer at home and had the DSL line installed, so I’m taking a morning off. Since my official office hours are only 1-5 daily, I no longer have to come to work early just to do my personal internet stuff. So I decided to stay home this morning and work on some of my writing projects. I just got a new comment from someone who started reading my online novel project, Guardian Angels, and I feel like I need to come back to work on it. If my muse doesn’t want to cooperate, I’ll just start without her.
Also, the plot bunny about the Endless keeps snuggling up to my feet and reminding me its there. I’ve got the first two “chapters” done, but I need to finish it. I’m hung up right now on getting Desire to play his/her part in the story… well, that’s not really true. What I need is to do some research on the characters he/she is most directly interacting with.
It turns out that the guy who is technical/logistics coordinator for Utah Pride is moving out of state in the beginning of May. It looks like I’m going to be the replacement guy. I need to learn how to say no, or at least set limits, when people ask me to do these sorts of things. I don’t mind using my time and talents to help things I believe in, but I have a tendency to overextend myself.
