Monday, April 25th, 2005Some days I just feel like I’m losing a battle to keep from gaining weight. All the exercise, the watching of my diet (which really isn’t all that unhealthy), it just doesn’t seem to make any difference. It’s like my body is determined to get fat no matter what I do. My father has always been a big guy, and I’ve been putting on about 10 pounds a year since college.
I haev to go shopping for new pants because the size I was wearing just isn’t comfortable anymore. A suit I bought just last year needs to be let out if I want to wear it again.
*sigh*
I just don’t have the time to spend hours a day at the gym – which is what it took when I lost all the weight in college. I went from almost 250 lbs to about 160, but I was in the gym every morning for about three hours, walking the campus all day, and constantly in rehearsal for musicals and plays.
It’s not that I’m particularly unhappy with my body, but I’ve seen the health problems in my family and I’d like to do something to minimize the threat.
