Blind Prophecy

Apparently, my ranty complaints about the way “things get done” withing the queer community have landed me in hot water, so to speak.

At a “strategy meeting” yesterday, I was asked to co-chair the Utah GLBT Leadership Task Force. That’s right, I’m being asked to take a leadership position among community leaders.

::sigh::

I guess I can’t complain as loudly as I was recently. People hear me. Then they ask me to do something about it.

Also, I got a call from Sundance today. Virginia and Nicole are “very positive” about me, and they’re checking my references today. Tomorrow, I’ll meet with Jill Miller, the Managing Director of the Institute, and if she gives the thumbs up, I’m in. My stomache is in serious knots. I need to go shopping for some new clothes to wear (all my slacks and khakis are a size too small these days).

I also need to go shopping for my Marvel Comics fix. They better have the new Astonishing X-Men today. If Marvel has delayed things once again, I’ll… I’ll…
