Blind Prophecy

I hope to finish Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman over my lunch break today or later tonight. After that, I’ve got my hands on the other big release of last week (IMO), Gregory Maguire’s Son of a Witch (which, when saying out loud, I insist on giving the same inflection and tone one might give a similar expression after stubbing one’s toe). Son of a Witch is a sequel to Wicked, beginning after Elphaba’s death and concerning her son (I really hope that didn’t actually spoil anyone).

Anyway, I’ve really enjoyed most of Maguire’s books, but a sequel to Wicked… I don’t know. Let’s hope it’s no Jurassic Park 2. Let’s hope it’s no Jurassic Park for that matter.
