A Lazy Weekend
Monday, February 13th, 2006My plan was to spend the entire day on Saturday in my PJs, never once leaving the house. This plan would work in a perfect world where my siblings were quiet and never ever annoying. So I decided to go check out Underworld: Evolution. Not a bad movie. Certainly not one of the great triumphs of the cinematic age or anything, but fun escapist stuff. More gore than the first movie, but, oddly, it didn’t bother me. Normally, a bit of onscreen blood and I’m pulling my head inside my sweater like a turtle to cover my eyes. I guess this was over-the-top enough to bypass my hemaphobia reaction.
Tonight is Brokeback night. L and I were supposed to go last night but (surprise, surprise) he’d forgotten and made plans with J. After some good natured pouting on my part, we rescheduled for tonight.
Let me just add my voice to the growing number of people on my f-list who are gushing over last night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy. I’ll never think of a Va-J-J the same way again.
The weekend wasn’t long enough, plus I was too lazy to get anything productive done. The sum total of my achievements since Friday night include one trip to the gym, going to church for the first time since New Year’s, and making a list of what I want to move down to Vegas immediately (the “essentials”). I didn’t actually pack or do the laundry that’s piling up or clean anything or make any of the dozen phone calls I need to make.
