Blind Prophecy

First off, happy birthday to *-*-*foulsham”>. I hope your new home is treating you well.

After my ranty post yesterday about ABC 4′s coverage of CAUSS, I was absolutely floored last night when they presented a follow-up piece that actually presented the other point of view fairly. *-*-*bendawg”> suggested that maybe someone over at channel 4 is reading my LJ.

Regardless, after yesterday’s jeers, I’m very happy to give them a cheer for presenting the other side of this issue and providing balanced coverage.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported today that Governor Huntsman has to make a decision about HB 148 by the end of today. According to Huntsman’s Chief of Staff, the phone log on HB 148 is split evenly between supporters and opponents. That’s quite remarkable since this is the only big bill the Eagle Forum has to get their panties in a twist about! We’re neck-and-neck with the Eagles.

But we don’t want to lose the public opinion war in the final stretch. If you haven’t called, call now! If you already called, call again! (see this post for details on how)

I really want to name 2006 as the year when the anti-gay right wing got shut down in Utah.
