TMI for the day

So I did something I’ve never done before… today I got treatment for an STD. Remember that wild weekend in Vegas back at the beginning of February? Yeah, well I have confirmation now that what happens in Vegas doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas.

So without insurance, I got to discover the exciting world of cheap clinics. In this case, Planned Parenthood, because there aren’t many GLBT friendly spots in SLC.

It’s no huge deal – warts – once you burn ‘em off (and the treatment burns they’re more or less gone in a few days.

Of course, true to my luck… I’m at the far clinic being very secretive about it because I’m, well, embarrassed… I’m in the exam room with my pants around my ankles waiting for the nurse to bring someone around for a “second opinion” and suddenly, a woman from my church walks into the room. I had no idea she worked at Planned Parenthood. I’m not sure which of us was more embarrassed at that moment.

Also, the waiting room (where I sat for an hour) was interesting. I had no less than three straight gals hit on me!! C’mon ladies, besides the rainbow band on my wrist… well, you see a single guy in the waiting room to PP, you should pretty much assume that he’s not there to learn more about birth control options. Who cruises a Planned Parenthood lobby? How would you tell your children, “Daddy and I met while waiting to get treated for STDs.”

Anyway, having acid dripped on my man parts qualifies as the most action I’ve had since Vegas, and now I’m not so sure I care.
