So tired…
Friday, April 28th, 2006Today might be called the “tipping point” for Utah Pride. My phone didn’t stop ringing all day and the emails have continued all night. Of course, a big part of it that vendor applications are due this coming Monday and early-bird rates on parade entries are due a week from tomorrow.
We also have a major media deadline this weekend, so we’re rushing to finalize everything from the entertainment line-up to the Grand Marshal and award recipients to the film festival selections. I don’t want to publish any info until we have contracts, but I may have to take a few things on faith this time.
Anyway, I just dosed myself with Nyquil after a rough workout and it’s hard to spell anything right the first time I type it, which is a good sign that I need to turn the laptop off and give myself a break. Don’t even care about the shipment from Amazon that arrived today (mostly just new books about working in Public Relations anyway).
ETA: If anyone didn’t know, yesterday was the Day of Silence, a day when GLBT and allied students remain silent to symbolize the oppression of GLBT people in society. Check out the great speech my friend Missy gave to mark the occasion.
