So I just came from interview number 4…

I’m 83% certain (like how I gave it an interesting and unverifiable number?) that they’re going to offer me the job later today or tomorrow. Here’s the problem, they either need a full-time person starting on Monday, or a part-time freelancer who can edit their big summit catalog next week. Either way, I’m not going to get a lot of time to think about their offer, nor will I get a lot of time to give notice here at Compass (not that I’m especially bothered by that as I’ve got no direction right now and nothing very interesting to do)… and I’m sure that’s going to burn a bridge. Also, what kind of message does it send to a potential employer when I’m forced to admit that I’m not especially fond of my current brand new job? Will they be asking each other after I leave “what if he gets bored with us in two weeks?”

::sighs::

So, yeah, sitting in my office with the iPod on and browsing the internet… theoretically doing research on how other similar organizations have marketed their fundraising efforts. In other words, goofing off and bored. The sad thing is that I could go on doing this indefinately and they’d still praise me and think I’m doing a fantastic job because, well, my first drafts of things are 20 times better than their existing materials.

Aynway, the sore muscles aren’t hurting as much now as they were this morning. The walk to BART was agony.
