When Zombies Attack

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Today, after having brunch with Jessica, Daniel, Jennifer and Trish (Jennifer’s sister who’s visiting this week) we wandered down to Market Street. Image our horror and shock when the zombies attacked! Yes, that’s right, downtown San Francisco was attacked by zombies this afternoon. While we managed to survive with our brains intact, the sidewalks and stores along Market Street were a gruesome and bloody mess. Thankfully, we read the book “How to Survive a Zombie Attack.” Others were not so lucky. Although, for the most part, the shocked tourists who got caught up in the massacre escaped unharmed as well, because the zombies recognized that tourists have no brains worth eating.

Anyway, I caught some video of the zombie mob leaving the Apple store after realizing the iPods, while nifty, aren’t as good as brains… and there were no brains to be found at the so-called Genius Bar…

I also managed to take lots and lots of pictures of the mindless carnivores as they attacked people on the streets, terrorized a Christian rock band playing a concert in Union Square, then carried on to the Apple Store and even the Metreon. Some zombies even stopped off in Yerba Buena Gardens for a picnic and some frisbee.

Anyway, after the excitement of a Zombie Mob, we decided to stay up late and watch Tron at the Castro theatre. So bad, so cheesey, so full of homoerotic subtext… we loved it!

Oh, so out of the blue, I got a friend request from an old friend from college, Eryka. She was the last girl I ever “had a crush” on. That was before she started dating my roommate Mandee. Anyway, she’s living in Oakland and has comp tickets to see Light in the Piazza this Wednesday. We’re so totally going. That was the best surprise of the whole weekend. Aw, I’ve missed Eryka.
