Blind Prophecy

There’s a reason I don’t get new videogames very often. Daniel lent me “God of War” a few days ago and I got started playing it yesterday. I went to bed at 9am this morning, got up again at noon and have been playing most of the day. If it weren’t for my need to smoke and eat, I probably wouldn’t have stopped at all.

I must make myself sleep tonight. “I was up all night because of a video game” isn’t the sort of excuse that goes over very well when you look like a zombie at work.

Also, at Jessica’s urging, I swallowed my cynicism and posted a personal ad on Craigslist. Yup, pretty much got the reaction I expected… a lot of guy who obviously didn’t read it. Among the 3-4 guys who did actually read the posting, they all wrote to criticize me for wasting my time and their time with an ad that wasn’t about getting laid in the next few hours.
