So yesterday, I walked up to Mission Dolores Park to sit and read, but while sitting in the park, I found myself glancing up at the tower on Twin Peaks, and decided, “What the hell.” So I ended up walking all the way to the top of Twin Peaks. Unfortunately, the sun sunk below the horizon moments before I reached the summit, so I didn’t get to spend much time taking pictures or enjoying the view. It also got cold really fast.

Anyway, some pictures stitched together using panoramic software…

My Home from Twin Peaks

After that hike, Jennifer, Daniel and I went to Isotope Comic Lounge for a concert/party featuring Uke Apocalypse. We had too many free vodka gimlets and now I can say that I once got drunk in a comic book store while listening to people play Prince songs on the ukelele. I think I earned extra nerd points for that…

Also, scoring some nerd points, the shirt I wore yesterday (it reads “Joss Whedon is my master now”)…

So, having accrued a surplus of nerd point, I went to the Gay Men’s SciFi Book Club tonight. It was fun, and the discussion wandered across many topics. I guess the group has a tradition that the meeting is over when we’ve finished 5 completely divergent subjects. Tonight featured the secret habits of rich people, how slow the process of approval for development in San Francisco is, and the sale of San Francisco’s historic armory to a porn company.
