Not to diminish the experience of anyone whose life was affected by 9/11… but it’s been 5 years! Is that really still the most pressing issue to discuss in the State of the Union?

And why did no one point out to me that I’d be, y’know, here while this happened. Like, I could run out right now and be kinda near the Capitol building before the speech is over. Only then I’d miss the speech. Weird.

ETA: I just realized that I’ve barely eaten since leaving SF. I had a lunch meeting where I had a salad (only vegetarian option on the menu) and a few running snacks. Maybe I need to go find some food. Those San Francisco values have spoiled me, though, as it’s kinda off-putting to NOT see vegan options on every menu including the drugstore snack row.
