Blind Prophecy

I just want to get out of the office and on my way to the airport, but I keep getting calls about last minute changes to the speech my boss is delivering on Saturday. Now I’m patiently waiting for another 10 minutes so she can call if there’s anything still off about this draft (so I can work on it at the airport).

And just how am I supposed to concentrate on anything when my brain is going back to my lunch break and screaming…

Turns out Ysabel is “sorta” a sequel to the Fionavar Tapestry, but you won’t find that referenced on the book jacket on in much of the promotional material.

One complaint, however. GGK knows surprisingly little about the music 15-year-old boys listen to these days. Ned is all about U2, Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Coldplay. At another point, a 25-year-old girl says to him “What, you think I’m too old to like punk as a look?” and I’m thinking, “too old? Fuck, I’d say you missed the punk bandwagon by about 10 years. If anything, you’re too young to even know what punk is!” But these characters are Canadian, so they might genuinely be out of sync with the rest of the world (by which I mean California, of course).
