Blind Prophecy

So, my visit to Salt Lake for WinterPride went well. Unlike my holiday visit, this trip gave me plenty of time to see old friends and colleagues.

They talked me into going to the WinterPride Gala, “Carnivale in Rio.” Since I hadn’t planned on attending, I didn’t pack anything but jeans and sweaters for the weekend. I ended up renting a tux for the first time since my high school prom.

I also got to spend a little bit of time with Craig and Callie. Craig is getting so talkative and was very cuddly with me (unlike X-mas, where he was much more interested in his toys). Callie is getting bigger and is starting to crawl. My little brothers, Jordan and Jared, are giving each other black eyes and big red scraping wounds these days.

After I got back in town, Jennifer and Daniel and I went to see Pan’s Labrynth. I liked it a lot. I wonder if Guillermo del Toro had been given the same liberty to go to the very dark places with Hellboy, how much different that film might have been.

I need to catch up on everything TV from Thursday through yesterday. I still want to head down to Menlo Park this evening and catch the GGK book signing, but I’m also a little pooped from the weekend and sorta need today as a lazy holiday to recover.
