Headline in today’s SF Chronicle:
Same-sex edict worries Bay Area Episcopalians

I wonder what sex that edict is, and which edict it shares a gender identity with.

Within the story… “they will not authorize rites for same-sex blessings” and many similar uses.

Repeat after me, class, “‘Same-sex’ is not a synonym for ‘gay’ or ‘homosexual.’”

I know headlines need to be short and pithy, perhaps the headline could have read “Edict on gays worries Bay Area Episcopalians” — especially since the edict also calls on Episcopalians to ban gay bishops.
