Frustrations
Thursday, March 22nd, 2007Last night I needed to NOT work from home, so Jennifer and Daniel talked me into going out to Underground SF’s Drum & Bass party. (Of course, I had a file of advertising rates and budget numbers tucked into my bag to review on the bus to and from the party.)
The plus side of the work frustrations (and I know it doesn’t sound like it, but 90% of the time I really do love my job) is that I vent my frustrations at the gym. I’ve plateaued for so long on my progress (basically lucky to be holding steady since the holidays) that I needed a reason to truly push myself. If my aching muscles are any indication, I’ve done that. Now I need to re-examine the bad eating habits I’ve slipped back into and start picking up the fruit and salads again instead of double cheese melt subs. I also need to get more sleep, but that doesn’t seem likely unless I give up comic books and bedtime porn (which I’m so not doing).
Oh, and to add icing to the stress cake, an “old friend” is showing up in San Francisco this weekend. I can’t remember if I mentioned this before, but after Lance and I had a parting of ways, he moved back to Utah and went back to work at Sundance. Suddenly this week he’s announced he’s coming to visit (he didn’t announce this to me, just in a way that it got back to me). So now I’ll probably avoid a whole lot of places all weekend because I really don’t want to acidentally bump into him.
