How Weird… surprisingly not that weird.
Monday, May 7th, 2007I went the the How Weird Street Faire today. It was a scorcher, which is an odd thing to say in San Francisco, but temperatures were in the 80s and there wasn’t much wind. I’m pretty sure I got a sunburn.
Anyway, the How Weird Street Faire was really cool, but I wish I’d been better dressed for it. I was wearing heavy black cargo pants, a long sleeve knit shirt and my vintage spiderman t-shirt. I supposed I could have lost the underlayer, but I was afraid of making my sunburn even worse on my arms. When will I learn, though, that San Francisco festivals offer two options: dress revaling and slutty or dress in costume?
In the evening, Jennifer, Daniel, Ken, Jenna and “the German” (Krisoff, Ken’s friend who is visiting from Germany) had Mexican food followed by drinks at (where else) the Toronado. Even now, temperatures are still in the 70s and I’m uncomfortably warm. I guess I’ve adapted to San Francisco weather. I’m guessing Masq wasn’t a happy camper, since it was one of those rare days when wearing a leather jacket was near impossible.
