Dispatches from Folsom

Folsom Street Faire 2007With the club creatures in town, and after a very late night, we met up near Jennifer’s house for a late brunch (sometimes also known as “lunch” but it was a Sunday and most of us were gay, so “brunch”). It was rather late by the time we finally made our way to the Folsom Street Fair.

Warning, the pictures that follow this cut are NSFW.

Yeah, I think I’ve done enough San Francisco street festivals that they’re losing the appeal. As someone not especially interested in a) bondage or fetish, b) hairy old white guys, c) leather and chains as fashion, or d) overpriced drinks and crappy festival music, it’s hard to get worked up about this anymore. Still, I feel a certain gay duty to support my leather brothers and sisters.

The club kids headed off after a few minutes to see a band they liked (turned out the band was just pulling DJ duty, not actually performing), so I ventured out on my own for a bit to see the sights. At the other end of the Festival, I saw Kelly of YouTube fame performing

After the Fair, we wandered into the Mission District and had dinner at Frjtz. There was talk about heading out to Noc Noc for a nightcap, but I pooped out after dinner and decided to head home since I did have to work the next morning.
