Greatest Hits from the Halloween Alternatives

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Since Castro is closed for Halloween, I thought I’d look into some of the city’s fine alternatives to mobbing the gay Mecca. Since you can’t shake your groove thang with a wild crowd of people, 99% of whom are out to have fun rather than cause problems, surely the city has compiled a list of hip, exciting alternatives sure to convince people they aren’t missing a thing!

From the list of reccomended alternative events:

Yeah, an opera lecture is such a better idea for celebrating halloween than getting drunk with 200,000 idiots in costume! And why didn’t I think of going to see Menopause, the Musical?

In all seriousness, I might do the EndUp or Trannyshack tomorrow night. I have Thursday off from work. I picked up some costume elements. The best part, I can wear the same stuff for Dia de los Muertos, which takes place on Friday within spitting distance of my home.

Dia de los Muertos Procession

So, tomorrow is Halloween, Friday is Dia de los Muertos… but today… today is international Bare: the Album day!

Bare the album

I’m so excited I can’t stand it. I purchased my copy a few hours ago and now I only have 7-10 business days to wait for it to arrive. stoopid no digital purchase yet Go, faithful reader, and order your own copy today so that you, too, can bask in the gloriousness!

I should also go find someplace selling Spider-man 3, but I might as well do that tomorrow.
