After sleeping through or riding transit during the last several earthquakes, it was kind of a thrill to actually feel the 5.6 that rocked the bay about 10 minutes ago. It was closer to San Jose than us, but it shook the house enough that I moved to an interior doorway.

It went on for very long time. Or it could be that being on the 2nd story, the house was wobbling extra hard. Damn those rickety but charming Victorian-type houses.
