Blind Prophecy

So it seems that Mitt “I support gay rights” Romney and Rudy “How do I look in drag?” Guiliani are both campaigning on their recodes of beating up their supposedly liberal communities where they governed.

The New York Times set out to determine whether New York is actually as liberal as the Republican front-runner suggests. One of the experts they bring in pegs Los Angeles as the most liberal major city.

SFist objects, and so do I. Our mayor boned his best friend’s wife and admitted to alcohol problems before being re-elected and defied state law to allow over 2,000 gay and lesbian couples to wed. We don’t sell guns in the city. People got really angry when they were told they were not allowed to scrub oil of birds. Last time I went cruising Craigslist for apartments, I ran across three different listings for people with extreme environmental habits (i.e. recycling shower water). We’re banning plastic bags! Please, won’t somebody think of the plastic bags!
