My brain is starting to hurt
Friday, November 23rd, 2007So on my practice LSAT exams, I consistently seem to have the most trouble with logic games. I rock the reading comprehension and the arguments portion isn’t terrible.
Anyway, I’ve spent a significant amount of time this week on a workbook full of logic games and I seem to improving, although my head is swimming with little charts and rules. If Anna never sits next to Garry, and Frank sits across from Dana, then who will spill their wine first?
And my idea of taking a break is to jump on Facebook and play Bogglific. I’m twisted.
I’m starting to narrow down the schools I want to apply to. Based on my undergrad GPA and resume/work experience, I think I can identify about three target schools, two “reach” schools and two “safety” schools. It all hinges on my LSAT score, though, which is why I’m stressing about it a full 6 months before I actually take the test. Both my “reach” schools are in New York, so I’m thinking about planning a spring trip out there to visit the campuses and meet people. I don’t know where I’ll find the money for that (and the LSAT class I want to take, and the fees associated with taking the test, and applying to schools, and repairing my credit score before applying for financial aid), but I do have some frequent flier miles built up, so it’s not quite so bad. The other flaw in that plan is this class I’m hoping to sign up for–it starts in March and eats up 2 nights a week and weekends until test day. I guess it wouldn’t kill me to miss a class or two, but it seems like a waste of money. I think I need to take a lesson from Jesse and Brian and their financial fast.
Anyway, I’m headed over to Jennifer’s house soon for a post-Thanksgiving dinner. It should be fun, and it’ll keep me from spending the whole weekend in my room or my backyard doing logic puzzles and listening to Bare on endless repeat.
