Movie Review: Cloverfield

Just got home from Cloverfield. It was AWESOME. Crazy cool monster. Tummy ‘sploding story. Fantastically building from and subverting monster movie conventions. I sat in the back of the theatre, which minimized the motion sickness problems, but I didn’t think it was that bad. My one complaint is a spoiler…Beth being alive when they finally reached her seemed contrived — especially when she starts running after spending several hours impaled on rebar. It would have been fine with me if they’d done all that and found her dead. Just saying.
