Yes We Can

The Amazing “Yes We Can” song inspired by Barack Obama’s speech.

Two days until Super Tuesday. I’ve more or less decided to follow the liberal endorsements on the ballot initiatives:
Prop 91 – No: No one is still arguing to pass this bill.
Prop 92 – Yes: Education is good.
Prop 93 – Yes: Term limits suck, this tries to make the best out of a bad situation.
Prop 94 to 97 – No: Two things, I grew up in Nevada where I never paid state income tax or tax on food. If the largest gaming expansion in history only results in 9 billion over 20 years, this isn’t the best deal we can win. Second, the casinos in question are anti-union and the bills contain exemptions to environmental protections.
Measure A – Yes: we love our parks, let’s make them better.
Measure B – Yes: benefits for older police officers, who wants to argue with that?
Measure C – Yes: my most controversial stance. I like the idea that San Francisco wants to go on record as saying Alcatraz is a horrid reminder of violence in America, glamorizes the penal system, and hardly inspires positive thoughts. So let’s tear it down and build a hippie, new-age, pseudo-Eastern mysticism “peace center.” It’s a very San Francisco thing to do and I think it makes a powerful symbolic statement in this time of seemingly endless war and conflict.

And, of course, I’ve thrown my hat in the Obama camp for Super Tuesday.
