Easter 2008.
Sunday, March 23rd, 2008Today was a perfect day in San Francisco. Warm, no wind, lots of crazy queers gathered in one place…
I went to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence anniversary party in Mission Dolores Park, which includes the popular Hunky Jesus competition. Only in San Francisco does Easter become an opportunity for queer people to dress up in costumes and get drunk in large gatherings. I love it.

After the Easter festivities, I met Jen and Jacob for dinner. Jennifer needed to borrow my camera. She’s having a mice problem at her apartment and is now at the point of legal action against her landlord. She left her camera in Canada on her last visit, but needed to document the problem with the mice. Anyway, we ate at Baghdad Cafe, which was kinda annoying because we couldn’t find a spot to avoid the sun and I was feeling sunburned.
I finished the evening by popping over to Church St Cafe to work on the rest of my homework. My class isn’t going to by shy on the homework. It took me a cumulative 6 hours to work through my first workbook. There are 15 workbooks (one for each class that isn’t a test or diagnostic).

Anyway, if today you celebrate the resurrection of jeebus and all that, happy Easter.
