I also want to congratulate Mark Leno, my choice for State Senate District 3. With over 80% of the votes in last time I looked, Leno has 43.4% of the vote, Carole Migden is polling at 27.7% and Joe Nation at 28.9%. I went with Leno for a variety of reasons, but the chief ones being simple disgust with Migden’s ethics challenges and the fact that Leno has been very supportive of the organization I work for. I’ve met Leno three times, I’ve never seen Migden at a community function I’ve attended.

Prop 98, the evil elimination of rent control and environmental protections, is going down hard. The San Francisco local ballot measures seem to have passed according to the progressive agenda (except the F/G dispute, I voted no on both because I thought both sides made good points about why the other choice was bad, but no one convinced me why their measure was good – still it looks like “G” is leading, which was the Gavin Newsom supported plan).
