Yo, yo, Utah Peeps!
Wednesday, June 11th, 2008Okay, I posted this over in Facebook, but I’m trying to spread the word to my hombres from the Beehive State, too.
I’ll be in Utah next week to take the LSAT (law school admission test) on Monday. After the test, I’m setting aside time to see some friends and de-stress from several months of study. Here are the relevant details…

In other news, I’ve started my LSAT vacation. Tomorrow I’ll run some errands around town and go to my last class, then on Friday morning I fly to Utah. I’m keeping Friday, Saturday and Sunday as obligation-free as possible in case I freak out and have to compulsively work practice question sets to avoid having a nervous breakdown, but I’m generally feeling pretty confident at this point.
My plan is to get up early on Monday and hit the gym because I’ve noticed a difference in my scores on days when I’ve worked out. Also, even though the working out hasn’t resulted in a huge loss in weight yet, I measured my belly this morning and there’s definitely a decrease in inches, and I don’t want this trip to be an excuse to get sloppy.
Tuesday is reserved for quality time with the family. I’m planning to take the little ones to see Kung Fu Panda and generally allowing myself to relax and de-stress. I fly back to the city on Wednesday. After that, I don’t know what I’ll do with myself. I’ll have my evenings and weekends back. Of course, I still need to finalize my essay and resume, but that’s not going to take every night until September.
I had a super kid-intense week this week and a party at The Red Door sounds perfect. I put you on my schedule and if I’m not completely deflated on Monday, I’ll be there!
