As I said on my twitter feed, it’s easy to make fun of Clay Aiken, but I’m always proud when someone finally finds the courage to come out in the public eye. As Clay reminds us, it’s not just heteronormative guys that struggle with how and when to come out. Even the most obvious, flamboyant, lispy, swishy, Broadway-showtune-loving, diva-worshiping, and queeny among us must still make a big decision about how public and honest to be with our sexual orientation.
