Quit Acting Like a Baby
Saturday, January 10th, 2009New blogs will probably be infrequent this week. We’re doing store inventory at retail job through Wednesday and I pulled a floor shift on Friday. After that, though, all is more or less quiet on the work front until March, when I start teaching.
I have to up at an unrealistically early hour every day this week for inventory. Like first-bus-going-downtown early. Like I-have-to-go-to-bed-when-the-sun-goes-down early. Like before-the-coffee-shops-open early.
Let’s have 3-year-old Jere from 1980 describe how this makes us feel:
At least it’s distracting me from sitting in the art room, staring down at the street for signs the mail carrier is making her way down our avenue with a big, thick envelope from a law school addressed to me.
