Spoiler-free Trek Thoughts

I’ve never been much of a trekkie. Sure, I’ve seen most of the shows and movies, but I never really made a huge effort to keep up. Yesterday, I went to see J.J. Abram’s Star Trek.

It’s a really, really good movie and may make a full-fledged Trekkie out of me yet, although I want to see if this reboot can pull off “smart” with as much success as it pulled off “action.”

  1. I should be seeing it this Tuesday. It’ll be my first Star Trek movie, though I did watch Voyager.

  2. We’re waiting for the crowds to die down.

I do so hope you do a blingee Star Trek post…

  3. I must say that Karl Urban and OUTSTANDING as the younger Dr. “Bones” McCoy. Really had the original down pat. And the casting of younger actors in realtion to TV series older ones was spot on. (Except for Chechov but Charlie Bartlett had the accent down pat)

  4. Took the movie in with sis on Friday night as part of the NE Ohio Mother’s day tour. Super! Both of us go all the way back to the original TV series…so it was a trip down “memory lane.”
