Wild and Wet Memorial Day
Tuesday, May 26th, 2009Since my gym was closed, I decided to get my day’s exercise by visiting the Cincinnati Zoo. It’s about a 3 mile walk each direction, plus I spent the whole day on my feet. Despite a bit of rain and some very humid air (which made the rain forest section seem especially realistic), it was a very pleasant day. As our friend Nick put it tonight, “the zoo is one of the rare things about Cincinnati that doesn’t suck.”

In sorta related news, I really miss my good camera. I took hundreds of pictures and had to settle for some blurry marco shots, bad resolution zoom, and clumsy flash. 90% of the time I don’t care about using the cheap replacement I bought when the good one broke, but I really missed it today.

Oh my god, these pictures are fantastic! Just imagine it like film, where you used to have to take 200 pics to get 30 publishable shots. The gorillas are so much more rewarding this way. (?) Alright, maybe not.
Let’s create some solution for your good camera that’s duct-tape based.
It worked for the flip flops.

Great pics. This zoo looks awesome.
Humid rain forest section?? I suffered through one of those on my first zoo trip (Central Park Zoo with Tam).
