Workout Playlist

I could post a review of the movie we went to see for my birthday or a diatribe about something in the news that’s upsetting me, but I thought I’d go for the complete waste of internet bandwidth and share my current gym playlist.

Good Girls Go Bad Cobra Starship
I Don’t Care (Single Version) Fall Out Boy
I Got Soul (Chris Tall Remix) The Killers

This is a much friendlier playlist than the type I created for the gym in San Francisco. Back then, it was all “I hate you I hope you die” music and my time on the treadmill was about having an outlet for rage at my job, disappointments in my love life, and general frustrations.

Anyway, yesterday I missed the morning gym hours (my gym closes at noon on Saturdays), so I ended up jogging outdoors for the first time in a long, long time. I jogged up to a nearby forest I haven’t visited yet, slowed down and hiked a few trails, then jogged back home. I need to do more to train myself in jogging without a treadmill. Since I’ll be living so close to Central Park in a few months, one of my goals is to get outside the law school by making a morning jog part of my routine as long as the weather is comfortable.

  1. I KNOW seven of these songs, but only have TWO of them. Yay! James Morrison!!!

    Jere Keys Reply:

Yes, well, James Morrison is your fault.

  2. This will come in handy when I start working out again…
    Thanks for sharing : ).

  3. Fantastic workout playlist! I’ve used a few of them on my own, but many are new to me. Jogging in Central Park is the best!
