Halloween Costume Memories

Some of my past Halloween costumes:
My mom made these Raggedy Ann and Andy costumes by hand and I think they’re lovely. That’s my cuz in the middle.
Was mom trying to personalize our costumes with matching handbags candy bags or make it easy for creepy pervs to lure us into their clutches?
I’m not sure if this is actually part of a Halloween costume or if I just really wanted to wear a pretty bonnet and make Jessi wear the stupid boys hat.
I don’t really know.
I was a sexy cowboy long before Josh was even born. Also, note how I’m awed by the giant plush penis banana thing.
My first Halloween date. Much like modern times, no one really wants to date me, so I had to settle for fake/pity dates or pretend boyfriends.
This year I went as a gay boy scout. At this party, I met Murray. We made out. He never wanted to see me again after that night. Much like modern times.

Fluffy bunny witch. It was a pagan/Wicca joke that no one else seems to get but everyone at this party enjoyed.
Pirate costume (a.k.a. totally ready to kick some ninja ass) but it was cold so I’ve got my coat on to hide most of it and I just got out of the car, so I forgot to my eyepatch on before taking this picture.

I think I’m returning to the zombie theme this year, but now it’s totally being overdone by everyone. Maybe I’ll just throw on a g-string + some body glitter + a pair of tube socks and go as an over-the-hill go-go boy. Sexy, right?

It’s a different costume. This one involves an awesome 80-style jumpsuit (think Ghostbusters… if you were alive back then).

The Craig bug is so adorable, I may or may not have actually said, “Awwwww” out loud…right here in my office….
The bunnies look hilarious. I’m a bit saddened you didn’t wear it for our walking day around Manhattan. It’s not like anyone would have even looked twice at a man in a bunny suit, ya know?

He was so little back then. He’s gotten a lot bigger. Still as cute, though.
Yeah, I think I’ve overused the bunny costume. Also, it lacks a front zipper, so drinking becomes a problem.
Loved the thumbs up. You were adorable.
As for Murray, he was an idiot to let you go. Hot, but an idiot.
Lots of great costumes you’ve had. And the go-go costume, totally hot. Well, it will be cold if you go outside, but hot-ish.

He was a dancer with one of the shows on the Las Vegas Strip, so he was a flake by nature, and I tended to have a lot of meet-and-make-out encounters with dancers from the casino shows in those days. I’m not saying I was a slut, but Enrico probably would.
Sweet– Craig and I are the only immediate family cute enough to land on the Halloween post. And Callie says forget the Zoombie bring back Uncle Cherry in a princess dress cuz Princesses make the best Halloween costumes.

Cherry is too much work and too expensive. Her ugly step-cousin Gloria McHole could make an appearance, though.
I love the bunny costume. And the photo with the banana. The Raggedy Andy photo with the red hair and make-up… foreshadowing of Cherry Poppings?
