I’m Like Tinkerbell… I Need Applause to Live
Sunday, May 30th, 2010More videos are up on the Follies channel, including the song I “wrote” and my big solo.
Context: It kinda sucks to be a law student looking for a job right now. It used to be that law school was a one-way ticket to moneyville. Not any more. Too many law students, too few jobs. Just like the rest of the country, but with $150k in student loans.
Context: in my very first week of school, Sirrah (who is singing at the start of the video) was assigned to be my Stein program mentor. She took one look at me and asked “can you sing? Can you rap?” So… in this video, the deans of Columbia Law and Brooklyn Law have tried to infiltrate the Fordham 1L orientation by posing as Dean Treanor.
Last night’s party was fun. A big thank you to everyone who came out. And thanks for all the birthday wishes.
And for those who don’t follow me on twitter, here’s a 40-second tour of my new room.

Love your neighborhood view. Now you have a bigger bed, no excuses for not putting it to good use.
Um, Tam, is there something about Jere you know that I don’t? I wasn’t under the impression that Jere had a habit of failing to put his bed to good use
(Or are you angling for some space on that bed?)
I love the view of the neighborhood, too!!! (I even commented as much on twitter.)
Jere — I watched your vids up on FB. Awesome
You’re born for the greasepaint and the footlights, young man. But you already knew that.

I haven’t put a bed to good use in a long time. Back rooms of bars, office closet spaces and city parks, however…
I learned all the wordz to M&M’s “The Real Slim Shady” when I was in high school. One of mah proudest moments!
