Pride Parade 2011

Sunday, June 26th, 2011

 Pride was pretty much business as usual, with a little more celebration and high spirits that before. To be honest, other than the parade today, I haven't done much for Pride this summer. Not enough time, not enough money, and it seems like my friends have pretty divergent interests that don't lead to group outings this year.

The parade was okay. The three-hour delay in start time from when we're told to arrive in the staging area and when we actually start walking is getting old. By the time we got to the end of the route, most of the interns I was walking with just wanted to go home. Myself included. I forced myself to walk around the Pridefest for a half an hour, but I didn't last long. Instead I stopped by Whole Foods and picked up some sushi and summer beer. Now I'm lying in bed waiting for my feet to stop aching.

Bee Tee Dubs - I've been playing with some new plugins for comments. You should be able to comment the old fashion way, but you should also be able to "connect" with FB and twitter to login when commenting. If you have trouble, email me so I know to fix/scrap this stuff.

    3 hour wait does sound like not much fun. At least it seems like a decent day. Hope your feet feel better tomorrow.

    I think I have decide that I can either enjoy Pride or march in it. I just don’t have the energy for both anymore. After waiting and walking for hours in the sun, I just wanted to go home and clean up when it was over. I didn’t even go to Pridefest.

    I might just take a break from the whole thing next year.

    Yeah. I’ll be in the middle of studying for the bar next year, so I probably won’t do much.
