• You Suck at Craigslist. This one is probably funnier if you get giggle fits from atrociously bad spelling and grammar. Like I do. The post on foos ball tables had me hyperventilating.

• This story (which I would normally find incredibly upsetting and rant-worthy, but this week it just makes me laugh because Anderson County Attorney Frederick Campbell is such an embarrassment to Kansas… and that’s saying something).

Now, I know they do things a little differently down under, but am I crazy to think a trophy this fabulous really ought to be awarded to gayest twink* in queerville? • If you’re in New York City on February 21, please join the rally for the Coalition to Stop the Arrests. For several months, NYPD has been targeting men who have sex with men in a bogus prostitution stings out of adult bookstores. Whatever you think of these types of business, this entrapment is offensive and wrong.
• The National Center for Lesbian Rights has opened an Overturn 8 store for those who believe that equality should never be put up for popular vote. I like the philosophy, I like the slogan, and I like the design. I think Equality Utah ought to make a line of t-shirts in support of the Common Grounds initiative. They could use their billboards for inspiration:
  
• Heroes might officially suck ass, but FX is bringing Brian Bendis and Mike Oeming’s comic book Powers to the small screen. This is almost as exciting to me as Stan Lee and Perry Moore adapting Hero for Showtime.

Jen and Jacob are headed to New York for a few days with Jacob’s mom, and our friend Opie is moving in for a few days while they’re away (and taking care of Diggs so I don’t have to).

I love this idea. I’m constantly looking for realistic handwriting fonts, and now I have one that looks super-natural to me. I used the second page (accented foreign characters) to create little doodles I use all the time like smiley faces, hearts, stars, arrows and scribble marks.

Best of all, if you’re artistic-minded, you could create a really awesome font for your specific projects that is unique to you.

Astonishing? Really?

Although the new one has catchy music, I still prefer the old hero machine, which is a little harder to use but has way more customization.

It’s fun to waste time!

First up is Alan Bennet Ilagan‘s self-titled blog. Voted “best dressed man” last year in the DC Metro area, Alan is a multi-talented journalist, short story writer and photographer. He’s also not shy about showing off his hot body. We hate him (in that way we hate talented, good-looking people who make life look easy).

Next up is Cincinnati local Jason with Let’s Say You’re Right. Jason first came to my attention when he recognized me from a photo he snapped at the Obama rally we had a few months back. While not exactly prolific, his posts are often fun and interesting.

Photoshop Disasters may not be the most traditional photoblog, but it cracks my shit up. One of the rare blogs that actually had me LOLing and meaning it. To the point where my laughter made my side hurt. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but with all the years I spent photoshopping crappy ads for clueless bar owners, it made me happy.

Last, but not least, A Snapshot of Ken. Ken’s partner SML was a super-volunteer at Utah Pride when I was in charge (by which I mean that he took on a lot of leadership, not that he wore a cape or anything). I’m not sure if I ever actually met Ken, but we seem to have several friends in common. Anyway, Ken and SML have since moved to Boston, where Ken gets to complain about the weather a lot. Ken also has a wicked sense of humor.

One of the relatively recent additions to my blogroll is Hotel Tuesday by Enrico, who also makes a point of leaving comments despite my inability to fix the coding errors that plague his attempts.

We originally “met” online though Puntabulous. I started regularly reading his blog because Enrico tells great stories in the most creative ways.

Recently, he has been sharing stories of his trip to Mexico including lots of photos. Yesterday’s post was filled with all sorts of cute animals like bats and howler monkeys and lizards.

But with a little photoshopping, I think this little guy would make the perfect pet, so long as you don’t insult Britney Spears, because that’s not cool.

Richard Parker better watch out or he might get out-adorabled (shut up, it is too a word).

She would have nothing to do with the snow or the cold air, and kept looking back towards the door, perhaps measuring whether or not she could make it back inside if she jumped.

Which is really how I feel when I see the snow, like I would do anything not to have to be in it. In the back of my mind I begin counting how many packages of Top Ramen I have in the cupboard and how I might have someone do my grocery shopping for free. But what would really be ideal is an over-the-counter drug that would knock me out until spring, something like Vick’s NyQuil Hibernation, the so you can skip winter medicine.

When I get sick, there’s nothing like the Nyquil coma. Blacking out through February and March would be awesome. No Valentine’s Day. No boring after-the-novelty-has-ended snow and ice days. No lame-ass President’s Day Sale advertisements for car dealerships and furniture stores crapping up my television time.

I have one goal this weekend, my penultimate in the city. I will get laid. I’ve been busting my ass in the gym for three months, quit smoking, studied for and scored well on the LSAT, and through it all I’ve been a good boy. I’m in Gay Mecca for another 10 days, I need to take advantage of them.

I may also go see Mamma Mia since The Dark Knight in IMAX is sold out through the weekend.
